Many Faces
Look Closer. There's Always Another Face.
Many Faces is an original painting that rewards every glance with something new. The canvas opens at the bottom in deep, oceanic blue — vast and alive — where a sea-like creature anchors itself in the lower right, settled into an even darker purple-gray that evokes the mysterious weight of the ocean floor.
Moving upward, pink mingles with red and white stripes, weaving through the composition like currents of energy. And then the middle opens up: a gathering of elements that slowly, unmistakably, resolve into faces — some subtle, some suggested, and one impossible to miss. A big, bright orange face commands the center of the canvas, bold and present, surrounded by the swirling world of forms around it.
At the top, a blob of gray closes in, with more red and white stripes pressing down toward the blue below — as if the whole painting is breathing, contracting, alive with presence.
